Hi, I’m Katelyn—a graphic designer and photographer based in Springfield, Missouri.
I specialize in editorial design, print production, advertising, and photography, creating visual work that is both engaging and purposeful. For more than four years, I’ve worked in the fast-paced environment of newspaper publishing, where every project has a deadline, every detail matters, and collaboration is essential.
As a Graphic Designer and Photographer for the Springfield Business Journal, I design weekly publication layouts, create custom advertising campaigns for regional businesses, and photograph business leaders, construction projects, and community events. Working on a publication that reaches more than 30,000 readers has taught me how to balance creativity with efficiency while producing polished, print-ready work week after week.
In addition to my full-time role, I work as a freelance graphic designer for local companies. From invitations and postcards to social media campaigns and event branding, I enjoy helping organizations communicate their message through thoughtful, impactful design.
My work has been recognized by the Missouri Press Association and the Missouri Press Advertising & Marketing Awards, including multiple awards for publication design, advertising, and event marketing. While I’m proud of those accomplishments, what motivates me most is solving creative problems and helping ideas come to life through strong visual communication.
I enjoy projects that combine thoughtful typography, clean layouts, compelling imagery, and careful attention to detail. Whether I’m designing a publication, creating an advertising campaign, or photographing an event, my goal is always the same: create work that is clear, effective, and visually engaging.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy exploring my work!
